Hi,

when resuming from hibernation, MediaPortal restart 'hangs' on Starting Plugins; I then have to shutdown the MP process from Task Manager. If I then try to start MP, it hangs again - I have to reboot the computer to get MP going again. This doesn't happen every time it resumes from hibernate, but it does happen about 4 times out of every 5 - very annoying. This has been happening for a while, at least the last couple of RC's. Logs are attached, if anybody can give me an idea what's going on (and possibly a fix!) that'd be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

I had the exact same problem for some time, except it was on 1.0.2 and it was occuring much less frequently than you (like, once every few weeks). It was so rare in fact that it was not practical for me to debug it by selectively disabling plugins as it would have meant running with at least one plugin permanently disabled all the time.
There was absolutely no info at all in the logs as it froze when loading and nothing particular was logged compared to a normal loading.

At one point it stopped happening but as I regularly update plugins it must have been some plugin causing it.

Good luck with that, that's all I can say. :(

Every time it happens, the Mediaportal.log ends with lines like this -

    2010-06-09 11:42:59.046875 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: PSClientPlugin.UnattendedWindow.Init
    2010-06-09 11:42:59.046875 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: PowerScheduler client plugin started
    2010-06-09 11:42:59.046875 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: WindowsController: Setting ExitWindows to MediaPortal.Plugins.Process.PowerScheduler.Void SafeExitWindows(MediaPortal.Util.RestartOptions, Boolean, AfterExitWindowsHandler)
    2010-06-09 11:42:59.062500 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: PSClientPlugin: marshalled handlers as http://localhost:31458/2f712b56_05d4_4f34_aaae_8220f831ed1a/hm1vhm18cjipazdno+flrlxo_1.rem

and that's it, the log goes no further. This seems to imply to me that it is a problem with the Power Scheduler plugin - would anybody/developer care to comment on this please?

    Cheers.
