If the monitor is turned off before the system does suspend (sleep) then the Mediaportal wakes up with wrong resolution
and is not in fullscreen mode any more.

This error only happens with Windows 7 and not with Vista. I have tested the latest 1.1 Beta and 1.02.

I found the following in the Windows 7 mediaportal-log:
- "onsizechanged" event occurs - if monitor is turned off
- "grahiccontext" -> new screen size 1024x728 (correct is 1280x720)

In the vista mediaportal-log there is not such an event.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start MediaPortal - correct fullscreen
2. turn off TV (Monitor)
3. suspend PC
4. turn on TV
5. resume PC
6. Mediaportal with wrong resolution - Windows Desktop can be seen at the right side

System specs:

TV-Server Version: 1.1 Beta / 1.04.24553
MediaPortal Version: 1.1 Beta / 1.04.24553
Windows Version: Windows 7
CPU Type: AMD ...
HDD: 2x1000 GB Samsung
Memory: 4 GB DDR2
Motherboard: Asus M3N78-EM
Video Card: onboard Geforce 8300
Video Card Driver: 8.15.11.9038
Sound Card: onboard
Sound Card Driver:
1. TV Card: Leadtek PVR200
1. TV Card Type: analogue
TV - HTPC Connection: HDMI

Hope you can find the root-cause for this. Thanks!

For those having this problem with an ATI chipset, go to manage Windows services & stop the AMD external event service. Set the startup type to disabled. The problem should be gone.

If you're seeing this problem with Intel graphics, please try killing the process igfxsrvc (I think that's its name) and see if that cures it for you. It looks to have fixed it for me.

Is anybody from the MP developers looking into that issue?

Anybody has found a solution for nvidia GForce systems?

    Thanks for your support!
