Have spent the last month or so installing and trying to optimise MediaPortal 1.1.0.0 RC1, am very, very impressed with it, runs beautifully on my Acer Revo 3610, much smoother than MC7 and much easier to install and configure than Mythbuntu with XBMC. In fact have been so impressed was even motivated to donate! :D

Got two issues left to deal with but will tackle them one at a time. :p

Most important for the WAF is that once my PC has been to sleep when I restart MediaPortal I am unable to watch TV with an error stating something about Stream3.0 or 3.1. It's extremely reproducible, happens everytime. Probably should mention I am using 4TR and would love to continue doing so as have set up automated xmltv guide grabbing via digiguide.co.uk and love the functionality of the program. This morning however I uninstalled it and early tests with the native TV seem to be ok.

Have been thinking about whether to post here or the 4TR forum for a couple of days now and finally decided on here. :D

Just wondered if anyone who's older and wiser than myself could offer some advice and maybe look at my logs.

    It's a singleseat setup on Windows 7 64bit.

    Thanks guys.

What kind of network do you have, if wireless then install the MSLoopback adapter, more info here https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/newcomers-forum-240/useful-posts-50062/, actually found if you go to it under device manager, all thats necessary is to put a network address in under the properties tab, select network and type in something not to close to your real one, ie my network is 192.168.1.1, so I use 192.168.2.1 for loopback, once done, just change the setting in TVServer, it will show new address available after reboot.

If going back to 4TR, then there is a setting to use unc path instead of rtsp for streaming, off top of head cannot remember were :(

There is also a setting to reinitiliase tuners in 4TR management console, as you have usb tuners, this might need to be enabled, this setting also exists if using powerscheduler (no 4TR installed, use windows power settings only for 4TR being installed).

    Good Luck

    Thanks Ray,

Had been looking at the logs and thought that might be where the problem was.

I'm using a wired network, singleseat setup with streaming films and music from my NAS.

Will check out the suggestions you mentioned, shame I'm working tonight!

    Thanks once again.

Ok, may have spoken a little too soon!

Still having problems after I've installed the loopback adaptor.

The logs look pretty similar to be honest

Unable to start live TV at ~17.45

    Restarted my PC at ~18.00

    Works fine after a restart.

Think it's something to do with RTSP

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

May have sorted this by manually adding the mediaportal server in the 4TR server list using the ip address of the loopback adaptor. Will update the thread if not.

    Fingers crossed.
