MediaPortal starts slow. (1 Viewer)

Ok, I have installed MediaPortal before and used it a few times without any problems. Now I have a new monitor and I wanted to set up this nice program good so I decided to remove the old version and install the newest. I removed the old version and installed the new one.

The installing process was all good. After installing I started the configuration screen. Here it went wrong. It takes ages for it to load. Eventually it did, I made a few basic changes and tried to start up mediaportal. Again it took a long time for it to come up, it seemed to hang on "initializing skin"

I tried a few solutions posted on this forum for people with simular problems but nothing worked (re installed .net, removed tv card and renamed tvdatabaseV21, removed everything with mediaportal in it from the registry, fixed broken drivers etc etc. So far nothing worked

Please help. (I attached the log's)

Hi, & welcome to MediaPortal forum
From your logs i can see it hangs around the remote section. What causing this i don't know, i know someone had this before but can't remember if he fixed it & how
Which remote do you use?

Thanks for the quick answer. As for the remote (never really used it though, but I did install it.

Can I make it "not load" the remote to test if thats the problem?

What happens if you remove it, will MediaPortal &/or Configuration starts faster, btw i don't know anything about that remote...........

No, it doesn't start any faster. Software says Niveus PC remote. Removed the software and tried selecting a keyboard as a remote in the configuration. Didn't work...

Edit: Fixed it. I didn't remove all the remote software. I had to remove nvidia remote software from configuration screen/software as well, I didn't notice that the first time. Thanks for your help, I'm going to configure MediaPortal now.
