How to install MediaPortal SVN-Snapshots in short:
  1. Install MediaPortal 1.0, not necessary if already done
  2. Run the Snapshot-Installer. You should create a backup.
  3. Run Configure. Sometimes the settings and database versions change from build to build, so you have to reconfigure your TV for example
  4. Hopefully enjoy the new version
  5. If not, restore your old files and you will have the former version back.

GREAT!!! Very good move to implement this improvement like this.

Can I suggest we do next the same with the MPC-HC subtitle engine from cpp2005 ??? It works perfectly! It realy improves the present subtitle function.
See this thread: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...48/integration-mpc-hc-subtitles-engine-54130/

Advantage is subtitle support in any situation while still enabling DXVA. PLUS an option to sync subs while playing and saving the settings afterward.

Just a thought.

Is it normal Media Portal build filtergraph with two mpa filter ?
one connected the other one not.

Probably MP use 2 filter for ac3 and aac purpose even when aac is not present.

    I use the 21720 rev.

    Quickest test ever ;)

    Okay,

I took the plunge aeger to test the new and improved zapping speeds....

    Test synopsys in multiseat:
    1. installed SVN on TVServer
    2. Installed SVN on TVclient
    3. installed tvplugin on TVclient
    4. start configuration.exe on tvclient, adjust some new settings that (some fields like default zoom mode where empty)
    5. start MP on client
    6. Result 1: start TV: took longer then normal to start
    7. Result 2: zapped to other channel (channel up): picture freeze
    8. complete restart of MP necessary
    9. Result 3: zapping did a complete exit of MP client with no user message what so ever....

    Logs attached, hardware in signature.

I rolled back my TVClient, TVserver is still on this SVN (runs together without problems sofar)

    Keep up the good work!

The new channel zap indeed is working great. Channel change times have gone done from about 4 seconds to just about 3 seconds. Concidering that almost all channels are scrambled using irdeto 2 and that first they have to be descrambled and then synced this is impressive, although the ziggo-supported stb's still change channels faster (1-2 seconds). But none the less a 25% improvement in channel zapping speed is impressive at least.
