Infos:
These Subversion-snaps are compiled at about 01.00h (CET).
You can also visit the official irc-channel (#mediaportal) to get a notice when its ready for download. The trigger !svn gives you the latest update too.
They are not pre-tested, so please use the backup option from time to time.
If you'd like the bleeding edge code and don't mind the inherent risks, upgrade to the snapshot releases as they become available.
If stability is important to you, you might want to stay with the fully-tested releases.

How to install MediaPortal SVN-Snapshots in short:
1) Install MediaPortal 0.2.3.0, not necessary if already done
2) install .NET Framework Version 2.0
3) Run the Snapshot-Installer. You should create a backup.
4) Run Configure. Sometimes the settings and database versions change from build to build, so you have to reconfigure your TV for example
5) Hopefully enjoy the new version
6) If not, restore your old files and you will have the former version back.

Important notice: The backup function wont work for Vista atm, here you need to save your configuration manually. A rewrite is planned but will take some more time for testing.

with this snapshot it is not able to play mpg-files. .ts-files works.

I´ve reinstalled the snapshot from 02.02.08 and everything works fine.

can you please run MPTestTool, start play a mpg-file and then stop MP ?
This will generate a zip file on your desktop, upload it here using "reply->advanced->manage attachment".

When fast forwarding or rewinding videos (Divx & Xvid avi's only used so far), pressing play to bring it back to normal speed results in the file being played at a much faster speed anyways. The only way to get back to regular speed is to stop playback and then restart accepting the prompt to resume where you left off.

P.S. Mediaportal is wicked!

please complete your system specs and show them. In particoular we need to know OS, Video Card.
Also di dyou change config param from VMR9 to EVR ?

Also run MPTestTool, try fast forwarding and rewinding, then hit play and stop MP. Attach to a post in this thread the file zip created on your desktop by the tool.

This happens when using either VMR9 or EVR.

Setup:

MS Vista Business 64bit
Intel E6420 @ 3.4ghz
Asus P5E Motherboard
4gig DDR2 PC2-6400
HIS HD3870 PCIe Video Card (Catalyst 8.3)

Hi,
Can confirm that mickey mouse effect after using ff, happens on both XP & vista here when playing a .avi file.
Issue was introduced with revision 18090(did a local revert & before that svn it was fine).

I installed this SVN and noticed that recorded tv programs screen does not work anymore?? It doesn't show any of the programs that I've recorded. I also made a new recording and even that was not shown on the screen.

I had the same problem with both BlueTwo and XFace skins.

Hi,
putkonen, your post doesn't tell us anything, because you don't say what you use MP 0.2.3.x & if you use TVE3 or not & no attached logs which could have told us whats wrong
