Infos:
These Subversion-snaps are compiled at about 01.00h (CET).
You can also visit the official irc-channel (#mediaportal) to get a notice when its ready for download. The trigger !svn gives you the latest update too.
They are not pre-tested, so please use the backup option from time to time.
If you'd like the bleeding edge code and don't mind the inherent risks, upgrade to the snapshot releases as they become available.
If stability is important to you, you might want to stay with the fully-tested releases.

How to install MediaPortal SVN-Snapshots in short:

1) Install latest MediaPortal Release 0.2.2.0, not necessary if already done
2) install .NET Framework Version 2.0
3) Run the Snapshot-Installer. You should create a backup.
4) Run Configure. Sometimes the settings and database versions change from build to build, so you have to reconfigure your TV for example
5) Hopefully enjoy the new version
6) If not, restore your old files and you will have the former version back.

TV recording & timeshift problem

Hello,

First of all: MP is super!

But, I've a problem with recording and timeshifting.
I use the TVEngine3 Snapshot: 04-20-2007 01-22h Revision 14213.
2 DVB-S cards are installed in my computer.

If I switch to a channel that is recorded or to a channel that has the same transponder than the recorded channel than MP shows the error message "Can't start timeshift - Unknown error".

Steps to reproduce the error:

1. View a channel and start recording this channel
2. Switch to a channel that is placed on another transponder
3. Switch back to the recorded channel or a channel on the
same transponder

Now the error message is shown.

After pressing the Ok button in the dialog it take MP nearly 30 seconds  to react again ( First I thought MP is crashed ).
MP shows atherwards the previous selected channel again.

The interesting lines the the log files are:
MediaPortal.log : Line 558 to 567
tv.log : Line 482 - 505

Does somebody has an idea what could be the problem?

:D

Please use English here. The x10 remotes are still broken?

Yes! Claims that no driver is installed but that's not true. I changed nothing since previous svn-snapshots. Before i used the snapshot from april 14th. But seems that since april 18th things went wrong.
