Infos:
These Subversion-snaps are compiled at about 01.00h (CET).
You can also visit the official irc-channel (#mediaportal) to get a notice when its ready for download. The trigger !svn gives you the latest update too.
They are not pre-tested, so please use the backup option from time to time.
If you'd like the bleeding edge code and don't mind the inherent risks, upgrade to the snapshot releases as they become available.
If stability is important to you, you might want to stay with the fully-tested releases.

How to install MediaPortal SVN-Snapshots in short:

1) Install latest MediaPortal Release 0.2.2.0, not necessary if already done
2) install .NET Framework Version 2.0
3) Run the Snapshot-Installer. You should create a backup.
4) Run Configure. Sometimes the settings and database versions change from build to build, so you have to reconfigure your TV for example
5) Hopefully enjoy the new version
6) If not, restore your old files and you will have the former version back.

The X10 Remotes seem to be broken in this SVN as well. If you go into the configuration, it says that the X10 driver is not detected, even when it is definitely there, and you are unable to use the remote.

The last SVN where the X10 remotes work seems to be the one from 4-17.

This svn seems to break tvserver service when used in client/server

    Hi,

I installed SVN-Snapshot: 04-21-2007 00-59h - Revision:14265 on a client with a fresh install of XP (with updates), and MediaPortal 0.2.2. After then installing the tvserver plugin, and attempting to launch MediaPortal and connect to the tvserver on my network (on another computer) I found that it did not work.

Further research showed that whenever I would try to connect with this client it would kill the tvserver with the following message (the message is from the application eventlog on the server itself):

    Event Type: Error
Event Source: .NET Runtime 2.0 Error Reporting
    Event Category: None

I uninstalled mediaportal on the client with SVN-Snapshot: 04-21-2007 00-59h - Revision:14265 and reinstalled mediaportal and then applied MediaPortal-svn--04-19-2007--20-22-Rev14202.exe which I used previously with success, and it is working again. I no longer get the above error when connecting with the client, and everything seems to be functioning properly.

I thought I would post this since I haven't seen anyone else with the same issue.

    Thanks for the great software!

    Kenshin
