Infos:
These Subversion-snaps are compiled at about 01.00h (CET).
You can also visit the official irc-channel (#mediaportal) to get a notice when its ready for download. The trigger !svn gives you the latest update too.
They are not pre-tested, so please use the backup option from time to time.
If you'd like the bleeding edge code and don't mind the inherent risks, upgrade to the snapshot releases as they become available.
If stability is important to you, you might want to stay with the fully-tested releases.

How to install MediaPortal SVN-Snapshots in short:
1) Install MediaPortal 0.2.3.0 RC1, not necessary if already done
2) install .NET Framework Version 2.0
3) Run the Snapshot-Installer. You should create a backup.
4) Run Configure. Sometimes the settings and database versions change from build to build, so you have to reconfigure your TV for example
5) Hopefully enjoy the new version
6) If not, restore your old files and you will have the former version back.

Important notice: The backup function wont work for Vista atm, here you need to save your configuration manually. A rewrite is planned but will take some more time for testing.

I wasn't able to add the FloppyDTV-S2-card. Do I have to change some thing?

Some bugs left

I have several small problems with the RC1 and current SVN builds:

1) When in Window mode and watching TV the window can´t be resized. When trying to resize the TV stays in still picture - sound is continuing. MP doesn´t crash - can be exited via Menu.

2) Also when watching TV and switching to fullscreen mode the same error occurs but theres no menu to exit -> Taskmanager has to be used. When TV is off switching to Fullscreen runs fine.

3) When recording TV Series (Recording via timer, every day same time recording) recording can be stopped manually but MP starts recording again when pressing "stop recording" - in this case the button start/stop recording (german "Aufnahme beenden/starten") acts like it is pressed twice.

4) Maybe somebody else can confirm that there´s a problem when converting DVR-MS to MPG2. I sometimes occurs that not the whole file is converted - MP stucks at serveral percentages and than displays "Finished" - very bad if selected "delete after conversion" in configuration. The problem does not seem to occure when recording is not longer than about 45 to 50 minutes. It only sometimes happens when converting recorded movies.

I´m using WinTV1300 via DVB-T (latest drivers) on Asus M2A/VM , Athlon X2 4800+ EE +2GB RAM. WinXP Home SP2 (all updates), latest MP SVN.
