Infos:
These Subversion-snaps are compiled at about 01.00h (CET).
You can also visit the official irc-channel (#mediaportal) to get a notice when its ready for download. The trigger !svn gives you the latest update too.
They are not pre-tested, so please use the backup option from time to time.
If you'd like the bleeding edge code and don't mind the inherent risks, upgrade to the snapshot releases as they become available.
If stability is important to you, you might want to stay with the fully-tested releases.

How to install MediaPortal SVN-Snapshots in short:
1) Install MediaPortal 0.2.3.0 RC3, not necessary if already done
2) install .NET Framework Version 2.0
3) Run the Snapshot-Installer. You should create a backup.
4) Run Configure. Sometimes the settings and database versions change from build to build, so you have to reconfigure your TV for example
5) Hopefully enjoy the new version
6) If not, restore your old files and you will have the former version back.

Important notice: The backup function wont work for Vista atm, here you need to save your configuration manually. A rewrite is planned but will take some more time for testing.

Since SVN 16319 MP craches every time I try to play music. Song plays for about 2 seconds then MP closes and MpTestTool starts.

In the logs I can see "Unable to load DLL 'mpviz.dll'"

I can confirm this. I got this after installing RC3 today.
However, it does NOT crash when playing music, only sometimes when I am in the configuration tool and change something within the music tab.

Seems like it's something wrong with the music visualization? When I go to the visualization-tab under music-configuration I get an error and can't config the visualization.

The error says also something about "mpviz.dll".

    MP crashes in TV Guide

If I move te mouse cursor above one of the optional recordings in TV Guide, MP crashes directly each time I try this.

documented problem (keeps for the future) or bug to be fixed? It's quite annoying, always to download this and that, so MP will run correctly :

    # Windows XP SP2: With WindowsXP you are able to use MediaPortal with one DVB TVCard or multiple Analog TVCards.
    # Windows MCE 2005 RU2: With Windows MCE you are able to use MediaPortal with more than 1 DVB TV Card!
    # Install SP2 and all WindowsUpdates
    # Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 with SP1 and Microsoft .NET Framework 2
    # DirectX 9.0c
    # Windows Media Player 10
    # WindowsXP SP2 Hotfix for DVB
    # Windows SP2 Hotfix for 1394 (Firewire)
    .
    .
    .
that seems to be enough, don't u agree? :(
