I've reinstalled my HTPC yesterday and since than I have the problem MediaPortal turns of my television (tv sees no signal anymore and entering standby) after watching tv a couple of minutes and returning to a previous menu, tv guide or something.

When I press ctrl-alt-delete the tv is getting some signal again and I get the screen with lock computer, switch user, etc. When I press escape I return to MediaPortal that's running and everything seems okay.

Got this problem 2 times within 1 hour :(

I wasn't able to run the official logs collector, but I was able to collect some logging, the last time it happened was 23:14, hope you can find it!

happened again a couple of times, was able to grab some of the logging :)
one time at 18:10, the other at 18:28 (and 2 times I didn't collect, see attached logs)

changed EVR into VMR9 and it seems more stable since, no more "blank screens" / tv saying "No Signal" (will test some more tonight), but VMR9 got it's own problems (laggy, sometimes showing wrong screens for a fraction of a second, etc).

I have my MediaPortal config running for a long time now, only things I've changed since yesterday is the latest MP SVN, Windows 7 RTM, new Realtek drivers, new ATI drivers and a new IRTrans suite.

anyway, hope the logs are usefull

ps untill 18:10 I was watching WALL-E, at 18:10 I stopped the movie with the remote and the screen got blank

So, you did change almost everything I would say. MediaPortal is not turning display output off on purpose so most liekly it is a display driver issue. Please revert to the previous setup and then test the ATI driver update only. If it doesn't trigger the issue the make the updates one at the time.

Sorry, but I hanve't heard such issue before and most likely it is caused by something else than MP itself.

I get your point, will not respond ;) (if it is a bug more people will report it eventually because they are very common drivers).

I'll test with the previous ATI drivers!

Think I have found the "bug".

Within Windows Power Options, the default "Turn off the display" option was enabled (10 minutes, default setting).

When I watched TV for more than 10 minutes, or did something else with only my MCE remote, Windows blanks the screen when I pressed back (or tv guide, or whatever) on the remote (still kinda weird).

I cannot remember this problem occured earlier when I ran Windows Vista with it's default power options.
