Media Portal TV Client

This is the initial beta version of my standalone tv player for the tv-server that makes it possible to watch tv on other computers in your network than your htpc without the need of installing the entire MediaPortal client.

It uses a VLC component to display the tv streams within the application.

I would appreciate if some of you try out the application and see if it works at all on other computers than my own and if there is any other bugs in it.

If anyone with some skills in .Net programming have some spare time over, I would gladly except the help :)

Yeah, sorry I forgot to mention that.

I used gemx code for connecting to the tv server as base to this. I've used MP TV Client before, but wanted a solution where the video was integrated within the client instead of in VLC.

Looks very nice, I'll try it out this weekend.

Mrs. mortstar often watches TV via the original MP TV Client on her MacBook via Fusions. This little bit of polish should make it a better user experience. I'll let you know how she and I get on with the software.

Great effort, looks very nice from screenshots.
I tried it, but it won't connect to my database. I'm using MySQL on TV server and as I can remember default username and password.

Wow, works really nicely! I've only had one problem so far, and that's switching from 1 channel to another on the same multiplex doesn't seem to work for some reason. The server switches over, but your client doesn't show anything. It doesn't error.

Well it switches over on the server and you can see it start timeshifting the other channel. Maybe make it re-initialise the viewing window or something? If you then switch to a channel on another mux it works fine.

Very nice work, works really well...just one issue I have and not sure why. First run it tunes to and displays channel fine, tune to new channel (TV Server tunes to and starts stream) blank, tune to 3rd channel and all is fine again..so and so on...

If you need and logs or me to check anything let me know.

I'm seeing the same, most probably trevor tried a same mux channel as well, changing to another mux always works.

Looking really good, fix the oddball channel change and this will make a nice light client :)
