Memory Footprint (1 Viewer)

Media player currently uses an incredible amount of memory while running, about 180MBytes on my computer. It would be nice if someone, possibly me, could go about reducing this footprint.

Would one of the developers be able to shed some light on why the memory usage is so high?

first, of all does it bother you?
do you experience problems due to the high memory usage?
I ask this since other ppl noticed the high memory usage before, but they never experienced any problems with it
I think .net just allocates memory and only releases it when there is need 2

Besides that, there is a bug in the .net 1.1 framework which causes this:

If you do experience problems you can download a preview of the .net 1.1 SP and see if that solves the problem
