menu stucks with TV-Client (1 Viewer)

Hey,

just a short question:

I've installed my new HTPC today and the first thing i tried out was Media Portal. I'm planning a server with TV-Server and a HTPC with Media Portal and TV-Client.

First of all I installed MP with TV-Client. The server isn't ready yet. Now when I'm trying out MP, every few seconds the menu stucks. If the TV-Client is deinstalled - it works fine.

The reason is clear, but is there a solution for this? I want the server just to wakeup for watching TV - all other functions have to work without it.

If it's necesasry, i will post my config later.

The suspicion was right - when the TV-Server is running the problem goes away.

I think MP checks every few seconds if the server is alive. Can I change this value if it's exist?

You are right on both counts - the system checks the TVServer and this cannot be changed.
Uninstall it if you are not using it

Hm ok but for watching TV I need the TV-Server...

Well, I think I'll use the server as fileserver for media files too. Thanks.
