I am getting the following error repeating constantly. It doesn't seem to affect the system functions though.

    Did you "update" a 0.2.1 or svn installation to 0.2.2 ?

    Here is what I did. I uninstalled 0.2.1 and then I deleted the /Program Files/Team Mediaportal directory. Then I installed 0.2.2. All my old settings were lost - so I would say that it was a fresh install.

    okay, the important part was about the MediaPortal.xml which could have contained some troublesome settings.

    Could you please find out in which module / plugin of MP this happens?

    I had that problem too. An svn update fixed it:

    Looks like it is the same.

    I have a slight variation on this.
    With one movie in particular, if I step forward, the video skips forward, but I then sometimes get a freeze (Have to kill the process from task manager) and a log full of these messages:

    2007-01-09 20:29:33.468750 [ERROR][MPMain]: Planescene(853,480,853,480,103891168,True,8):Unhandled exception in Error in the application. Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D at Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.Device.PresentInternal(tagRECT* sourceRectangle, tagRECT* destRectangle, IntPtr overrideWindow)
    at Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.Device.PresentInternal(tagRECT* sourceRectangle, tagRECT* destRectangle, Control overrideWindow)
    at Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.Device.Present()
    at MediaPortal.Player.PlaneScene.InternalPresentSurface(Int32 width, Int32 height, Int32 arWidth, Int32 arHeight, Boolean InRepaint)

    Looks like DirectX doesn't like us...

    Regards

    This is I thing maybe the 4th thread I read about this problem. I have the same problem. I tried to compile the latest svn. It crashed my desktop which is frustrating. I need to reboot every time. So I went back to 13000. That works for me. It tried another version arround 13200. Also that one crashed my PC. Allways with the error

    [ERROR][MPMain]: Exception :Error in the application.
