Hey folks! Relatively new to MP and just had a few questions.

Is it possible to configure MP to minimize to the task bar instead of the system tray?
Is it in anyway possible to enable MP to render in overlay (a huge positive difference in quality IMO)?
Is it possible to manually insert posters/info or force MP to use manually selected info when IMDB scans don't return anything even though the information can be found on IMDB?

That's all i got for now. Thanks in advance, MP is an AWESOME app! I love it, it just works.

I have not really played with the MINIMIZE settings in Configuration; General, so I cannot say for sure how you should set it. Did you try changing there?

Also in MP Configuration, under Videos; Video Database, you can manually enter movie information and link posters. Or you can save your poster with the movie. Example, if you have matrix.avi, save the poster as matrix.jpg and the Shares view will use it immediately.

Hmm I don't/didn't see any MINIMIZE settings in Configuration; General besides minimize to tray on start up and minimize to tray on GUI exit. Neither of those being quite minimize to task bar, aye. Not a big deal, just something that would work more for my setup.

Didn't notice that part, or the Shares view.

For me, minimizing to tray does not work properly in Vista. Minimize-restore broken in Vista

Maybe its that MP has a bug when you minimize the application when its running in full screen? Could you test following:

1) start MP (in fullscreen)
2) press alt-enter to go into windowed mode
3) minimize MP from normal minimize button (right top corner)

Sorry, I get "OnSizeChanged - Resetting device" every time I restore from minimized to tray, even if I do it as you described.

If I minimize more times, I get more interesting errors.
- Textures missing,
- Invisible TV guide (Textures & fonts missing?)

I'm 99% sure that it is only an issue in MP code. Minimize / restore is not pretty well tested as MP is HTPC application and the use case is pretty rare (I personally don't minimize MP ever...). So, there could be easialy some bugs in that area.

The strange behavior came in one of the RC3 SVN´s

Maybe one of these?
