Minimum req. for TV-server+client (1 Viewer)

Hi, first of all a big thanks to all the developers of this great piece of software and thanks to this community for improving, helping and growing.

I'm running the latest version and builds of the tv-engine, mediaportal and the client plugin on the same machine, and i'm experiencing a lot of stutter then watching tv. Watching a recorded tv-show plays perfectly, but live tv is very bad. I have also tried watching live tv on another client than the server, and it's also stutter-free.

Before buying new hardware - what's the min. req. for a rig running the server, mediaportal and the client plugin.?

My specs (old machine, i know): P4 Celeron 2.4, 1 gig ram, HVR-1300 + al lot of hd's

your 'old' machine looks good to me
I'm running mp on a 1.8 GHz pc, 1 gig ram and nvidia 6200 vdideo card.
So something else is wrong here and a new pc wont fix it.
From what i understand you run single-seat, all on 1 pc.
Could you try closing setuptv before watching live tv?
In some cases you get stuttering during live-tv when setuptv is still running

Glad to hear that the specs sound ok to you, and yes, i'm running a single-seat setup. The setuptv is already closed when running mediaportal w/client plugin.
I'll try to make a complete reinstall of xp and only install the mediaportal package to see if my current setup has any issues. Any other suggestions to troubleshooting is more than welcome.
