This is driving me round the bend now and I have run out of things to try. Virgin 1+1 announced that it was going off air at the start of June and the simplest thing to have done would have been to leave well alone and just untick that channel from my channel list. Maybe I thought a fresh scan would be a better idea? Anyway, I have cleared my channel list, run new scans and now have all of my BBC channels missing together with some others including Dave (no great loss!). Curiously, I have Dave ja vue, but not Dave. In total there are 42 TV channels being detected - a fraction of what there should be. I have checked antenna connections, removed my amplifier, unplugged other connections to the amplifier, and daisy-chained amplifiers in the hope of getting these channels to appear - but to no avail. It has always required a couple of scans to get all channels, but I have been trying a few times a day since the start of the week in case the weather made any difference! I have doubled the timeout when scanning and I always now run "All Regions" since, having read bits on the forum, I don't know if my channel list xml file is up to date. Last night, I tried searching on specific frequencies for the missing channels - using my TV to determine the frequencies required - but still the darned machine found none of them. I'm wondering now if I have a hardware fault - is the Pinnacle 3010iX TV card playing up? - but cannot afford to replace it just now. All channels were present and correct before I stupidly rescanned - so there is a signal getting through, it's just not being found when scanning. I am running Vista on a triple-core HP workstation and MediaPortal 1.1.0.0 The TV card is the Pinnacle 3010iX Any help in kicking this thing into touch would be hugely appreciated. I don't know how much longer I can manage without endless reruns of Top Gear! Martin
