Relative noob here, I got MP up and running fairly well with 1.0.1 while using 4 The Record. But after the upgrade to 1.0.2 my EPG doesn't show program information. It seems that I can tune the channels just fine in MP and I can schedule and record the program with 4TR (outside of MP) but it seems the two just are just not talking to each other. Even after the program records I see it in the file folder within windows but MP doesn't show in recorded tv.

I have tried re-installing 4TR both 1.3.3 and the new 1.4 but that doesn't seem to do the trick. I am hesitant to do a clean install mainly due to the fact takes a very long time to scan the chanells and then link time with my xmltv channel list.
    Thanks!

how were you getting the EPG with v1.01? With WebEPG or some other method?

    Things to check:
1- rerun webepgconfig to make sure all the channels are there and configured. this seems to be lost in an upgrade sometimes. Do you end up with a valid TVGuide.xml file after an import?
2- check the mappings. make sure the info that webepg gathers is still mapped to the right channels in the database.
3- in TV Server config, make sure the TVGuide.xml file is still set to be uploaded from the right place. When you press manual import, what is the result?

Hope some of these things help. Report back with any further details and remember that there is usually an EPG log as well. That may shed some light.

    Marcus,

    Seems fixed

I am able to see the EPG content now. I am not 100% sure of what I did but my guess was that then I upgraded I only installed the client side of mediaportal and it did not connect with the server. After uninstall/reinstall of mediaportal and 4 The Record it's all working. Now if only I can figgure out how to get my channel icons to show up...
    I appreciate your help.

have you put the icon files in the right location?
They need to be in the thumbs/tv/logos folder if I remember correctly. PNG or JPG format only, I think.

Also, congrats on the EPG working too :)
