I have installed and uninstalled MP many times over the past couple days, and I noticed that some items that used to appear under the Television section of the MP settings modules (not the server settings) are no longer there no matter what form of install I try.

I can't remeber them all, but it was where I set the path to my XMLTV grabber, etc.

All I see now is:

Television
TV Client
TV Post Processing
Teletext

where I used to see something like...

Television
TV Client
???????????
XMLTV something, something...
Teletext
???????????
???????????
???????????
TV Post Processing

Bear with me because I'm a recovering SageTV user and MP cherry

I think at some point you have managed to access part of the old TVEngine, which is no longer supported, you should only see something like mine.

This relies on the TVServer plugin being correctly installed.

Yup. That's what it looks like now. So I'm good.

I was suspecting the menu was an old part from my further research while waiting for a reply.

The thing that sucks is, that older menu enabled me to easily import my XMLTV file perfectly and now apparently the built-in capability has been removed in place of third party importing again?!! I don't get it

The Schedules Direct plugin works great....for one of my lineups and ignores the other.

The XMLTV plugin that ships with the app just freezes and does nothing no matter how many million times I change directories, reload, etc.

The XMLTV "Pimp" did nothing either

So now I still can't get a complete guide imported and I haven't even begun to figure out why my USB-UIRT changes channels in the "test" mode but does nothing at all when selectin a channel in the application.

If you have any idea, I'm all ears.

The file produced by schedules direct, needs to go in the same folder as the xmltv.dtd file, this can be easily found, run MP config, now at the top of that window is "user files", open that link and open the xmltv folder, that is where the schedules direct produced file needs to be, so copy the window address to the SD plugin, where its saves the epg file.

Not sure about remote, but sometimes these things work better selected as HID rather than individual remote.
