So to add to my description above, I'm running the SAF 4.0 codec package. Most of my HD mkv files run fine (a couple are in the wrong language, which I'm just going to remux). I have one that played fine the first time...only a couple of stutters, which I concluded was my network. Now when I play that same mkv, it seems to be running at an increased speed (like 2x speed). It stutters and jutters and the audio is starting to sound like chipmunks. I can play the mkv fine in MPC, but in MediaPortal, I'm having this issue. I'm thinking of remuxing it, but want to understand why this mkv in MP is playing like this, while all my others are have played fine, and it plays fine too outside of MP.

I ended up down playing the audio track from true DTS to AC3 @640kbs, and then remuxed. That seemed to have helped quite a bit. Still, why does MP have this issue with this file and it plays fine outside of MP with Media Player Classic...while I'm using all the same codecs. Also my other mkv files play fine.

hi, i've been plagued with problems with mkv files with 2 audio types for a while now. Had the same accelerated playback problem you have among other. i followed this guide and i'm up and running
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/newcomers-forum-240/mediaportal-install-guide-49685/

note i recommend uninstalling MP and SAF before following the guide..
i half assed it and did'nt remove MP just SAF and it didn't work. i had to totally remove MP do the pre-installation steps outlined in the guide and i'm up and running.

Pretty sure SAF changes merits for the original MP codecs, thats why this may happen to be solved by uninstalling MP and then reinstalling :(
