Hi everyone.

I'm new here so here goes.

I am having problems with subtitles in MKV, don't know if its just the way its suposed to be or how my system in configured.

Anyway, I am using Media Portal to watch all my vids, I have CCCP and AC3 Filter installed. In media portal I have ffdshow set as the video decoder and use AC3 Filter for the audio decoder. When I play for example the Pineapple Express mkv i get the taskbar icons for ffdshow video decoder, directvobsub and haali media splitter. I can enable subtitles either via the media portal config or via directvobsub and they display no probs. What's the problem then you may ask, well it displays everything, even for when English is being spoken on-screen, there are parts of this movie that has Japanese people talking, now for me to see what they are saying I have to have subtitles enabled (I know this seems obvious), but I only want to see what the Japanese or any foreigners say in these films, not what the english are saying. Is this possible or is it just how the subtitle stream is setup with the mkv file?

I hope this doesn't sound like I'm being stupid!!!

Thanks in advance.
