So I guess what it say's below UNDER: Hardware Requirements: (Minimum Hardware for MediaPortal and/or TV-Server:) that I cannot use MediaPortal 1 ?
I hope not, does anyone know for sure?
I put the info. in BOLD TEXT.

DirectX 9 compatible video card with at least 128 MB of video memory such as:

ATI Radeon series (9600 and above or X300 and above).

Here is the link to the ATI comparison web site for the (Mobility Radeon7500 VS Mobility Radeon 9000) if you need to look.

well I guess the 9000 may work better than the 7500 since it is DX9 compatible, but it will place a lot of strain on your CPU, which may not be up to the job.
A true hardware DX9 card will take over a lot of the rendering work and give a much happier end result.

Oops, I think I mis read your question sorry.

I doubt you'll have a good experience with the hardware you have but since it's a free app, there's no harm in downloading it and trying it out.
There are some skins out there that are gentler on older hardware (IE, less shiny flashy stuff) that may help you get an ok experience. PureVision is one, from memory.
