Fanart main menu - I prefer non fanart main menus.
Added TV Series - List Banner Views with fanart <- I am happy with these.
Added TV Series - Filmstrip Poster Views with fanart <- Not happy with these, can't get filmstrip with fanart to look good.

In all honesty, these are not maya mockups. They are a new skin that uses the maya background and font and some of the visual elements.
The rationale behind maya, as I understand it, is to have a clean and uncluttered skin. I would prefer to see the team stick with that ethos.
Of course, that doesn't stop anyone making a scheme using the same graphics/fonts as long as the designers do not object (I am not sure how open source would apply to graphical designs).

i do hope the maya team will do some fanart views ... if not im sure we can do somting abut some Mod.....
i just read her and thir some users pushing in a way ,not to mack fanart
views .......and i think ......Not Cool ... as i know most of us do like fanart style ...

elliottmc - You'll probably right as I'm not using their frames, and I'm doing black fades around the images which is my kind of style/preference creeping in. If I try and stick to their style more i guess it looks more like this. You have asome good points, however there will be fanart elements as an option within maya from what i understand, and hopefully at the minimun some of my mockups may give some ideas on layout etc.
BTW - The maya font seems to be nearly identical to the fluid font in streamedmp
Also - As I can't code, this is the only way I can give back to the mediaportal community, apart from helping others in the forums/making donations, and I'm a creative person so I like sharing ideas.

The fanart home menu isn't really my thing. The nipple thing might be a good unique touch if possible.
My suggestion for filmstrip is to wait showing fanart until after selecting a series. Looking at the movingpictures part it has fanart on the background in details.
