Where I have to copy the XML file and the icons?

Figured it out. The XML goes here (at least in Vista, and if you've chosen the default install directory): C:\ProgramData\team mediaportal\mediaportal.
The icons goes to: C:\ProgramData\team mediaportal\mediaportal\thumbs

Again, all according to how you installed MediaPortal, and your OS etc., but it should give you some pointers.
