I sometimes find it rather confusing when going to LiveTV only to get the "Unable to start timeshifting - No Audio/Video detected" error message, when it just happens that the channel it's defaulting to has gone off air. As I've had various configuration problems that have led to slightly different "Unable to start timeshifting" messages, it's led me to unnecessarily spend time looking into how to fix the (non-existent) problem. Hopefully I've learnt now!
I think a much more user-friendly way to handle this would be for MP to just go to the EPG, where it would be obvious that the current channel was off-air and would allow the user to easily select another channel. Also, when changing channel to one which is off-air, either going to the EPG or just displaying a "No Signal" message and allowing the user to simply change channel manually (using CH+, Ch-, Last Channel or entering a channel number) would be less cumbersome than the current "Return to last channel - Yes / No" box, on which I find it hard to tell which option is highlighted.
