Motherboard and chipset (1 Viewer)

Hi there,

I've been working on a htpc with MP since christmas...

So far I have
- an Antex Fusion cabinet - wich supports only micro-atx mobo.
- a PVR500 tv-card
- a pentium 4 3 GHz cpu

This past week i've been struggling with an ASrock 775twins-hdtv mobo, it has ATI 200 Xpress northbridge and ALI 1573 southbridge. However I never got suspend (S3) to work correct - been through a lot of forums. I'm returning it and looking for another board...

Now which mobo should I go for ? I'm currently considering MSI P4M890M-L or 945GZM3-L, alternatively Gigabyte GA-945GM-S2.

I know of course with these boards I also have to choose a graphics adaptor.

I've had pretty good success with a DFI RS482 Infinity motherboard. It has pretty much everything onboard, but it also uses the ATI200 northbridge. My only complaints were that I had to up the voltage on memory to get it to be stable, and there is no hadware DXVA support so CPU is about 20%when decoding TV/DVD.
