movie database (1 Viewer)

I have moved the HD disk with my movie collection to the office upstairs. It's an external 500 GB USB 2.0 HD and I did this not to hear the drive in the living. The office computer and MP box are connected through a LAN (100 mps) and everything works just fine.

But doing this broke my movies database. I have seen this mentioned on the forum, but never seen a straight forward fix. Is there one?

I was ready just to rebuild the whole database from scratch, but there is an issue with MP 0.2.2.0 that makes this very difficult. When downloading the info (from IMDB) the screen gets messed up (parts turn dark and start flickering) only changing the window size restores the screen. But doing this for every movie is very cumbersome. Is this a known issue?

depends how the current database has linked to the files.

if you change the HDD back to the driver letter it was before, then the database will show all the info.

The drive is now elsewhere on the network. The path changed.

you'll need to update all the records in the database to the new path then.

easier and quicker just to rescan them all.
i did the same thing and had to do that.

That was my conclusion as well.

Bad that scanning doesn't work properly under 0.2.2.0 ...

scanning does work properly in 0.2.2.0

the GUI glitch that happens intermittantly with IMDB has been happening for a while on the 0.2.0.0 SVNs also.
