Can anyone tell me if its possible to use the database and pictures from the MCE pluggin MyMovies in the MP Movies Database ?

To look at it looks like pretty much the same program. The reason I ask is I am just switching from MCE2005 over to media Portal and the only problem I have a t the moment is my movie collection doesnt seem to scan correctly in Media Portal.

It cant find alot of the films whilst searching IMDB, yet the MCE pluggin MyMovies scans and finds every movie using IMDB without any problems.

Any Ideas or help would be appreciated

You can search IMDB manually using MP.

May not be a good solution if there are a *lot* of movies in the database.

Does the "MyMovies" MCE plugin use a format that is standard? Can you open the database and see what the layout is?
You can use the SQLLite database editor to view and modify the MP database, so if you can do the same in MCE then you may be able to bulk copy the information across.
Don't know much about MCE sorry, even though my main HTPC runs it, it never see the light of day thanks to MP
