Hi there,

Not really sure where to ask this, but is there a way to enter movie info for each movie - so that it shows the info every time you scroll over it (i.e. what movies about, thumbnail etc)? Any help would be great!

Cheers,
Mich

Thanks for response. It kind of worked, but its still missing info for most of our movies (didn't detect through IMDB for some reason). Can you manually enter info for moving pictures plugin, if it doesn't detect automatically? cheers.

The recommended way to get an almost 100% match is the following:

Have each movie in it's own folder. Give the folder the exact name of the movie followed by the year. The name of the movie can then be in any form you like. Example:

movies\Gone with the wind (1939)\Gwtw.avi

This is some work at the beginning if you have a lot of movies. But it does help :)

A second option is if you have .nfo file with movie information, leave them in these folders. As typically in side these .nfo files there is the IDMB code for the movie. Moving Pictures picks up this code and thus makes a perfect match. For Gone With The Wind this would be "tt0031381" and you'll find all the information about this movie on Gone with the Wind (1939)

If this file does not exist, and you are willing to spend some time on it, you can create this file yourself. Guarantees a 100% match. See also NFO Scanner - Moving Pictures

The next option is to go into the configuration of Moving Pictures and make a manual match. See also Configuration Screen - Moving Pictures Disadvantage of this method is if you ever need to rebuild your database, you have to make the manual match again.
