[QUOTE="c.run, post: 843286, member: 118836"] Hello, I think that we're all aware that if one drops a movie into a folder, and then a bitmap having the same filename as the movie, mediaportal will happily display this as cover art as you browse your movie folder. While looking in my TV recordings folder one day, it occurred to me that the xml files in there were responsible for some of the information I was seeing while browsing my TV recordings, and perhaps like the bitmap above, maybe I could dump one in my movie folder so mediaportal would happily display information about my movies. So I took one of the files, renamed it so it matched the filename of one of my movies, and browsed to that movie within mediaportal. As I suspected, the movie title, genre, and comment were now filled in, and I could edit the xml file to fill these fields with anything I wanted. However, I was not able to get 'Director' and 'Year' to work, so my question is: Does anyone know the tag one should use to get these fields to work? DIRECTOR and YEAR do not work, by the way.
