Hello,
I'm running MP with MyFilms and an ANT xml db file with about 1300 movies.
I've had one htpc running this setup on Windows XP for several years now. I've had no issues with MyFilms/Ant,
everything running flawlessly and fast.
Recently I installed a 2nd htpc running Windows 7. This is a brand new machine, dual core, good graphic card and a 10000 rpm raptor hdd. Much, much faster than my older machine.
However, this new machine takes ages to load the main view of MyFilms(20-30 seconds). Accessing movie descriptions and playing the movies works fine, but when I return to the main screen I get this issue.
Both the Ant xml file and the movies is stored on a separate server. The old XP machine is connected through a 100 Mbit cable, a few switches and quite a long distance to the server. The new machine is on 1000Mbit and is standing next to the server. So it is not a network issue.
I'm thinking that it's related in some way to how Windows 7 access the xml file, but I don't know much about stuff like that.
Anyone got any ideas?
