Movie/TV database via server (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I am planning to set up a home server in my house where all my media will be stored so I can access it with all the other computers in my network. Now I was wondering wether MovingPictures/MyTVseries can read files from these locations. Like //server//media//+++.avi.

Is this possible?

Absolutely confirmed - The default MP My Videos as well as the TV Series & Moving Pictures plug-ins can read a shared network folder, mapped as a drive letter. I have yet to try (I have no reason to either) a raw UNC path, but would be surprised if it wouldn't work - that would be a fairly basic requirement for a lot of people.

Also confirmed that MP has no issue with Active Directory DFS shares and links. Works flawlessly.
