Movies disappear from shared drives (1 Viewer)

Hello,

It seems whenever I move my DVD movies from one hard drive to another and "re-map" the location in configuration, the movies disappear from my list and don't come back unless I uninstall and re-install MP, even though I specifiy a valid location. ANy ideas to help me out?

Not completely the same issue as you reported, but I had a related annoyance, that in case you move a movie to another directory, the videodatabase also was not 'smart' for this.

At that time I wrote a patch for this and submitted it into the patch-queue. Upto today this is never picked up by the developpers.

Thanks for the input..seems like many people would have this problem and would come up with a fix by now..my brother had the same issue on his system, so it's not an isolated event.

I am experimenting with the Mediaportal.xml file, and I seem to be having some success modifying share paths/names. I'll post my results.

In the meantime, thanks much for your help.
