I have put together some skin files for Moving Pictures 1.0 Beta 3 for those of us that are still using Monochrome version 2.9 for whatever reason.

    Hope someone finds it helpful.

Can I use these files with indigo as well? I simply do not like the new looks of indigo and prefer the darker blue that indigo had in older versions.

If I can use these files with indigo, what is the latest version of indigo that I could use and if it's later than 2.8, does someone have that for me as I can't seem to download anything before 3.2 anywhere.

I can't tell you for sure if it will work with Indigo 2.8, but why don't you give it a try and let us know? Another option would be to use the Monochrome 2.9 files with the Indigo textures (Media directory).

I don't know for sure, but there may be a couple of colors in the .xml files that require changing (i.e. grays to blues) but those would be easy enough for you to change.

I tried it with indigo 2.8 and it didn't work properly. It simply tells you that the current skin does not support categories and then moves on to "list view" of moving pictures.

Could try to mix'n'match the monochrome 2.9 files like you said.. I'll give that a shot, thx for the tip :)

EDIT: WRONG!! I meant I tried moving pictures 1.0 with indigo 2.8, not that I tried these files. Reason why is that I don't like the list view to be on the right side instead of where it used to be ;) Though I think I could get used to that.

Besides that indigo switch to a different layout and way brighter color, the indications of whether a movie is a 1080p or divx or anything is a little dull to me. Why not use the actual logo's for those instead of something that looks like a button with some text on it. Just my 2 cents :)

Thanks a lot, much appreciated MiamiBeach. I'm kind of fond of version 2.9. It looks so much better on my plasma than the newer versions.

Thank you very much for this. Just wanted to start something like this by myself. Take a closer look at your work now.

    Thanks again!

    Thank you very much!

    And on a side note:

I find it hard to understand why so many people seem to be puzzled by the fact that some users stick to stable versions for their production systems and hence:

    MP 1.0.2 -> Monochrome 2.9

    just my 2 cents

I have made some updates to my skin files (see first post).
    • Minor updates for MovingPictures 1.0.2 (beta 3)
    • Fixed problems with video and music overlays
    • Cleaner look for filmstrip view
    • Working on a more consistent look between MovingPictures and TVSeries
    • Consolidated images between MovingPictures and TVSeries
    • Changed media image files to white logos with black borders
I will be posting my TVSeries 2.5 files (for Monochrome 2.9) for those interested when I finish testing them, there's a lot more screens there so I want to make sure I didn't miss anything.

    That would be great!

    Many thanks for your efforts...

I was not previously aware of the "Drive Free Space" plugin, and it is not easy to find. (There really ought to be an easier way of finding plugins.) There is this thread that introduces the plugin, and this thread that details some changes to the Titan skin made by Gary Martyn (from 2013  ). I installed the plugin on my Aorus...
