Hi all,

I have been using mediaportal for a few weeks now and I really like it. I'm currently using mediaportal 1.0.2 with the streamed mp plugin. I have imported my 1.5TB worth of movies (ISO images) into moving pictures (version 0.7.2.545) and this works great The hard drive was connected to the computer running mediaportal and was mounted as G: However, recently I bought a NAS and I decided to move the hard drive to the NAS so it could be shared across all computers in the house. I figured I could mount the hard drive using the map network drive feature again as G: so my library would not need to be reimported again (it took me a good few hours the last time). However, when I did this, strangely my movies in moving pictures show up in red and says that the disc labled MEDIA could not be found

I tried reimporting one movie again and compared this with the earlier one and it is exactly the same i.e. same file location etc. My question is how does moving pictures maintain this information? Is there any simple way to make this work and save me a few hours of painful work? Please help :D

Second option it is :) I don't mind tinkering with the database if it saves me a few hours of work. Thanks for your help :D

Easiest option would be to wait for next version (0.8).

I've heard a lot of good stuff is coming in 0.8 :D Any idea when it is due to be released? Can I subscribe somewhere so I get notification when it is released.

Thanks again for your help

Just came here to post a question on what I need to do to avoid reprocessing my entire library when I move the hard drive that contains my movies from my HTPC to a WHS Acer Easystore. Looks like I need to wait for .080 or just take my medicine and recreate the database.

to completely avoid the whole volume serial issue for network paths just use the UNC path (ie. //server/share).
The volume serial check is primarily aimed at local hot swappable disks and other removable media that can use the same driveletter.
