Moving Pictures downloads fanart as .PNG now? (1 Viewer)

I've noticed that the fanart backdrops that Moving Pictures scrapes are now being downloaded or saved as PNG images. Is there a way to disable this? The comparatively enormous 2-4mb PNGs cause a lot more loading when browsing movies than a smaller ~500kb JPEG.
