Moving pictures menu shares view? (1 Viewer)

I'm looking to split my film collection to "animated" and "non animated"

I'm looking to have a menu that appears before moving pictures...i.e

1. Click on moving pictures and menu appears - "animated" or "non animated".... either choice will then start Moving pictures displaying the relevent film choice...

this would be an awesome feature to have this pre - menu

is this possible. as this will make my system complete.?

This should be possible with filters, due in v0.8. Here is the issue if you want to track it.

when do you think they will bring out 0.8 |(sorry not followed the history of this plugin) just like the loom of it, but need a pre filter.. i.e kids movies, HD films, etc

will this happen?

You could use mymovies for 1 and movingpictures for the other if you only want them divided into 2 for right now until that is implemented in the plugin.

My Movies is the standard included Movies functionality of MediaPortal.

just following up with this, will it ever be possible for movingpictures to sort files with a "shares view" like my videos? i like having the movies in different folders and then sorted alphabetically within those folders.

With the next release vl002001 it will be possible to setup a "shares view" like with My Videos. This will not be the default configuration out of the box, but with the new Categories system, you will be able to define how you want your movies grouped. And if you want to group by their location on the disk, you can do so.
