moving pictures not showing in home at all (1 Viewer)

I was using mediaportal just fine a few months ago, and got 2 new pc's. It installed it fine on my XP and win7 machines. Mediaportal itself is running fine. Moving pictures config is scraping movie folder fine as well....But MovingPictures isnt showing in the MP home screen...or ANY screen for that matter on either machine. Did i install something out of order? Do i need to copy some files around the install folder?

I know I'm close to finding the solution, but found nothing in the forums . TIA !!!

Hi there

A plugin can be set to show in the Home menu or in the Plugin menu.
Open MP Configuration, go to plugins, right click Moving Pictures and make sure Show In Home is selected.

Then also remember that MediaPortal have a Basic Home as well. That setting will NOT influence the fact if it is displayed on the Basic Home screen. Basic Home is purely populated by the xml code in basichome.xml.

Thus two options:
1. Use the normal HOME menu - MP Configuration; General; UNTICK Start with Basichome
or
2. Use a skin with Moving Pictures on BasicHome (or skineditor to put it there)


By the way, I will be moving this thread to another forum...must just decide where...not really MovingPictures related...maybe general support.
