When I import new films using Moving Pictures, it takes an incredibly long time for the information to be found and downloaded. Sometimes up to 10 minutes per film, sometimes even longer, rarely any shorter.
I have a fast LAN connection and usually only import two films at a time. It often fetches incorrect suggestions from the internet, which I can’t correct satisfactorily during the import process. Fan art isn’t downloaded at all, so there’s no ‘data bottleneck’ here.
When importing series, the relevant app does it very quickly. It takes less time for all my series than Moving Pictures does for a single film.
Why doesn’t this work with Moving Pictures? Is there a setting I can adjust? Are there any alternatives?
