Hi all.

I had several hard drives in my HTPC tower, and each drive had a folder for movies and tv shows, respectively. Now, I am just moving everything to an external tower in RAID5, that way I don't have to rip all my dvds again if a drive bites the dust.

I'm wondering, can MyTVSeries somehow allow me to move all the episodes/DVD files from an existing folder, to a new one? Can I change the base path of 300 files in bulk some how? I will not change the file names, only the base path....

Thanks!

I would also like to know how to simply change the path, only it is trickier for me.

I am migrating from a single HD/WinXP/MP 1.0.2 to an SSD+HD/Win7/MP 1.1 so I will have to reinstall everything and change hard drive at the same time. Is that possible or would it be simpler to just re-import everything?

As long as the import paths remain the same, you can re-use the older MovingPictures database. But summaries, ratings, popularity counts and such have more then likely changed since last time you did an import, so it can also be a good test to just re-import fresh. It depends on the amount of time you spent to manually correct things, as I'm sure you want to avoid having to redo all that.

OK thanks for the clarification. My paths will change because now everything is on drive C and then it will be on drive D.
    Well I think I'll just re-import.
As I have the same issue with Moving Pictures obviously, somebody mentioned Moving Pictures can "export" all current artwork and data to specific image files and .NFOs so it can be imported back without downloading from the Web, does that possibility exist in TV Series too?

Man, I would hate to re-create this DB... It would be so miserable. haha. Also, I'd really like to save my watched/ratings/etc...

Moving Pics I'm going to try that package if I can find it.
