MP 1.0.1 no TV cards (1 Viewer)

Hi, I see other posts with the same sort of problem. After doing a clean fresh install of MP 1.0.1 I can no longer see my TV cards in TV server, all settings look OK. seems to be a common propblem with this version so far. Any suggestions?

Yeah, same problem here... SetupTV doesn't seem to be able to connect to the TVService so it appears that there are no TV cards...

I wish a MP team member would confirm or deny this bug already as i'm on the verge of formatting and reinstalling windows from scratch, but I don't want to go through all that if it's not going to fix the problem...

Same problem here ! No firewall installed or active and on start of the tvservice keep getting the error in the tv.log:

Error while reading analog card configuration file.

Please try a clean installation of TV-Server and MediaPortal.

I did just that twice. With rebooting the machine after deinstallation and installation.

FYI, 1.0.1 is running nicely here on all my installations.

Seems odd that the problem only appeared after uninstalling MediaPortal 1 with latest SVN and installing 1.0.1, with no changes to the firewall settings

Have also tried it with the firewall turned off with no change (only using Windows Firewall anyway so any required exceptions should be added by the deploy tool should it not?). From the logs, it looks like the TV Service can talk with MySQL but SetupTV cannot talk to the TV Service for some reason...

I am currently re-installing Windows now on the HTPC to see if it helps - will post back if it doesn't!

Logs attached. Is it something to do with may tv card having analogue tuners on it?

Solution for now:

- Uninstall MediaPortal and TvService
- Install MediaPortal 1.0 / TvService 1.0
- Start TvServer Configuration
- Import or configure your channels
- Exit TvServer Configuration
- Install MediaPortal 1.0.1 / TvService 1.0.1 with the update option
