Greetings community,
since I am new here, I would first like to say hello to everyone and how much I appceciate this project.
I set up a new PC with Windows Vista (yes I know, not the best of operating system, but I have a legal copy) and installed the following software on top:
- Videolan VLC 1.1.3
- MediaPortal 1.1.0
I have read everything about installing the VLC 0.9.x External Player Plugin. It says not to use with 0.8.x.
Since I cannot download VLC 0.9.X I tried VLC 1.1.3. However when trying to configure the plugin I get an error message...
Any Ideas, what I might be dooing wrong? Is the missing VLC 0.9.x the problem? Where could I download this version? The videolan website only offers sourcecode for older versions.
Help here would be highly appreciated, since I really like VLC and it is essential, if I want to connect my dreambox to MP.
Thanks in advance and kind regards,
Alexander.
