Hello,
First thanks, that was, as always, a very complete and detailed response.
Second, and for my great relief, I have found the problem with Colossus and SDPIF, you just cannot unplug the two white audio cables from A/V interface cable provided with the Colossus.
Even if you do not use those two cables for your audio (meaning that you are using SDPIF Optical audio cable), you must leave those two rca jack connected at both end, from the cable box and to the Colossus.
It may sound stupid, but it is a legitimate behavior to unplug Audio RCA cables when you are planning to use an optical cable. I unplug those to be sure that the sound is really passing through the optical cables.
The effect is really surprising, when the audio is not working properly, the image simple don't show up. All that time when I trying and trying with different Video type (RTG#1, YRYBY#1, etc.), the problem was at the audio level.
I still have a small issue, when I am opening the portal and starting the TV, I receive a message every three to five seconds indicating a HCWHelper error. It does not imputate the fact that the TV stays on, it is just incredibly annoying. When I reboot the computer, it goes away for a while it seems.
If you have an idea how to correct this, please let me know.
All the best for your great support
Denis
