    Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone could help with this problem? I was getting stuttering on HD TV (live and recorded) within mediaportal using PowerDVD and also in PowerDVD outside MP, but HD was fine using mediaplayer and ffdshow. So I changed the options within MP to ffdshow instead of PowerDVD.

However, MP continued to use PowerDVD (as shown by GraphStudio). Whatever I tried I couldn't get it to use ffdshow as per the options. The last resort was to uninstall PowerDVD. Now MP won't play Live or Recorded HD TV at all and the following is in the MP error log :

    2009-11-25 13:52:56.516547 [ERROR][MPMain]: failed:unable to add filter:ffdshow Video Decoder to graph
    2009-11-25 13:52:56.516547 [ERROR][MPMain]: failed filter:ffdshow Video Decoder not found

Watching the recorded HD TV outside MP with MediaPlayer and ffdshow is still fine.

    Thanks.

    Bob.

MP doesn't allow the use of FFDShow video decoder for TV because of problems (I think) when changing channels.

I guess You should check main ffdshow settings MP to use correct line. I mean first item of ffdshow configuration CODECS, where You can set a correct way of decoding. But before that, of course You should reinstall ffdshow itself.

There's no problem with ffdshow, it works fine outside MP and within MP for DVDs and videos. Just not for TV.
