Hello,

MediaPortal Version: 1.2.0.0
MediaPortal Skin: Default
Windows Version: 7

After reinstalling Windows I've run into a problem. MediaPortal won't play any of my mkv files.
My codecs should be correct (ffdshow, coreavc and ac3filter) - they are exported configurations from a previous working setup.

To verify my codec setup, I ran GraphStudio, which you can see below:

MP is configured as follows:

And the error i'm getting when trying to play the mkv file through MP:

Do you have any suggestions on how to solve this? Help will be much appreciated!

Google LAVFSplitter, that seems to be the best compromise for mkv splitters out there, both haali and the gabest splitters normally recommended are no longer updated afaik.

    I'll give that a try.
Removed Haali and installed LAVFSplitter. Same error, but I found something in the log:

    1) check that dshowhelper.dll is located in MediaPortal installation directory
    2) check that you have correct C++ redist installed - see more info in Owlsroost's post

I'm sorry that I haven't replied here in a few days.
I'm very busy with work at the moment so I haven't been able to test your suggestions.

I will do it in one of the coming days and let you know.
