MP Client Can't connect to Database

    Hi,

    Complete noob, but I managed to install MP with the TV Server on one machine and scan channels etc.

    I'm just trying to get another PC MP Client to connect, but it's telling me that there's a problem connecting to Port 1433, it says:

    "Some ports seem to be blocked
    1433 (TCP) MS SQL Server"

    Then says it "My TV, Connected to TvServer, Unable to connect to Database, Please check firewall"?



    Tried looking through the firewall settings, MP works fine on the PC that the TV Server is installed on. Turning off the firewalls on both the client and the server makes no difference.

    Anyone help?

    I didn't, TBH, but I've just checked and they're all correct.

    I can't find the Management Studio, though.

    Ah, wasn't that - I've just added SQLServer and SQLBrowser as programs to the Exceptions in the Windows Firewall and it's working now.
