Hi using the SVN form januar 8.
Most things is working realy good, I just installed on a fresh win7 danish install, and I was able right away to view both digital and analog channels.
But - and of course there is a problem.

The digital channels in Denmark are TV2, DR1 and DR2 (mpeg 2 channels) and the channels Ramasjang, DR HD and DR K are in mpeg4. I think that they are on separete MUX (whatever that means).

I can see all channels, and I can shift channels between TV2, DR2 and DR1 (the mpeg2 channels) without any problems, but if I then change to a mpeg 4 channel I see only a black screen without sound, and I can't do anything, I have to kill MP.

If I then start MP and start viewing one of the mpeg4 channels, I can change between the mpeg4 channels, but if I then try to change to a mpeg2 channel - once again a black screen - and I have to kill MP.

This is happening everytime.
Regards
Steen

My logs, and I have a TS file as well if needed.

    1) Please use EVR instead of VMR9 in Windows 7

Disconnecting all pins from filter Video Mixing Renderer 9

    2) please tell what those default codecs are
    3) please upload the TS file that can be used to reproduce the issue

    Hi Tourettes

Ad 1. I checked I'm using EVR. I looked in the codec and Rendere section, on the Video Render tab - here the EVR IS selected.

    Ad 2: MPEG2: MS DTV-DVD
    H264: MS DTV-DVD
    MPEG/AC3: MPC-MPA
    AAC: Monogram AAC
    Audio: Default

Ad 3: It is a large file, it seems that no matter how quick I reproduce the error the TS file is always 250 MB, can I cut it? or where can I upload it to?

    Thanks
    Steen

    Some new information
I have a HVR 2200 (Hauppauge digital dual tuner card). I have set it up as two hybid cards. Scanned frequencies for both cards, and the same channels were mapped to both cards. In this setup I had the problems described above.

If I map all the MPEG2 channels to one of the digital tuners, and all the MPEG4 channels to the other digital tuner, then I can shift freely between all channels without any crash or freeze.

But I think that this is not an optimal setup - ie I will not be able to record two mpeg2 programs or two mpeg4 programs?

I hope this helps to narrow down the problem.

    NEW information
This tread seems to describe the same problems: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/watch-edit-videos-104/windows-7-codec-72714/index3.html

But my findings described above shows that MP can handle channel changing fine if the mpeg2 channels are isolated to on tuner and the mpeg4 channels on another. Could this indicate that maybe the problem is not connected with the ts file, but somehow with the initalization of the tuner?

NB I have uploaded a ts file, where I start on DR1 (a mpeg2 channel) and then shortly thereafter change to a mpeg4 channel - resulting in black screen.

Luckily u have a nvidia card. Atleast it does proper DXVA on DR1 HD :)

    Try and use
ms DTV-DVD audio decoder for MPEG/AC3.

Also, how does your TS buffer playback in vlcplayer ?
Does it handle the channel change transition ok ?

The workaround you described can more or less be done with a single card, if you remember to manually stop the channel before changing to the new one.

    Try it.

In your case the graph needs to be rebuilt it seems.

    Sorry for my late reply.

I have tried to use ms DTV-DVD audio decoder for MPEG/AC3...................It still freezes/crashes/black screen, but I can see that it still timeshifting, and looking at the new TS files, they can play OK in VLC or windows media player.
The only thing is that the ts file which is recorded during the channel shift closes windows media player at the same time were MP goes black. BUT playing the same ts file in VLC, everything is OK, it goes black for a second, but then it starts plying again, and playing the correct HD channel.

    Does this help.

And would you like me to send the short ts file were I go from a mpeg2 to a mpeg4 channel, which crashes MP and windows media player, but plays fine in VLC???

    New information 18/1 2010:

Even when MP freezes during a channel change (from mpeg2 to mpeg4 or the other way), the TV-sever still timeshift and makes ts-files. AND inside thes ts files everything seems OK.
The first ts file which contain the actual channel change from ie DR(mpeg2) to DR-HD (mpeg4), will crash window media player at the same spot as MP crashes, whereas VLC can play the file without problems.
BUT the subesequent ts files which is now timeshifting the mpeg4 channel (during the time that MP still is frozen), will play nicely in window mediaplayer, indicating that the structure is fine, it is only something that happend in MP-client during the channel change.

    Hi
Could one of the Dev's please have a look. It is very reproducible, so I think that it is a bug, but I haven't heard if MP officially thinks this is a bug or not?

What about my latest information using TsPacketEditor - is this error relavant? https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...o-ac3-ts-recording-attached-76444/index3.html

The Ts is uploaded to Tourettes Mediaportal ftp-place, called "Crash from mpeg2 to mpeg4.ts"
