I have used MP for at while on 2 different machines (the above, and a 32bit XP). But all of a sudden neither MP or MP-config is able to start on any of the two machines!!!

I was 'playing around' with the TVserver (on a third machine), when my MP on the XP suddently was un able to start! I didn't think much of this, as it is a 'run down' windows-installation, that contantly findes new ways tp bug me!

But when I when over to my seccond machine, is was only a matter of minutes before MP also stoped working here! I Tried reinstalling and rebootig, and doing 'reg-cleans', but all with no use!!!

Do I really have to reinstall Vista, and how can I be sure it doesn't happen again???

    - I hope, I have attached sufficient log-files! (I used the MP test tool) It seems that there where supposed to be MP-logfiles in the zip I added, can it be that none has been made due to the instant crash? (I can't find any in the MP folder)

I have also tried re-installing on the (buggy) XP machine - same result; neither MP nor MP-config can start!!!

I did however remember that I had an XP installation on another partiotion (on the 'vista machine') - there I was able to install MP, and when that was done, I copied the entire 'Team Media Portal' folder, onto the Vista partition.
Now I was able to start MP and MP config again!!!! But I really have problems with the TV, and sometimes the 'crash problem' re-appears, and I have to overwrite the folder onceagain!

    Anyone?

I have had a issue with the TVE3 plugin suddenly not working and that caused MP not to start, reinstalling the plugin has cured this, but it has happened a couple of times since installing RC3.

Do not know if it may be down to the new installer creating path's that cause Vista a problem.

    Hi,
Was it in the first place a clean installation, since you installed on Vista the "write folders" are not in MP root but in C:\Users\All Users\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal or %ProgramData%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal.
The best thing to do it's to uninstall MP & delete MediaPortal folder on both places & then install RC3 again. The latest SVN doesn't overwrite your personal path file which the first one did after RC3 release.

    Regards
    Roy
