The logs are corrupt, unable to open, can you check you can open them yourself, and what program are you using to control zipped files.

    Hi,
You need to describe more & what you mean with crash while running(at startup, after a while, when closing, etc).
    But from your log:

    1. your comp seems to have multiple issues, one it's a issue with fontengine(Could be a bug) & here you should try to
    - Update graphic drivers to latest
    - Run MP on Primary screen
    - Graphic card could be to old & not handle DirectX as we require

    2. A crash occurs with Moving Picture plugin & should be reported there.

    Regards
    Roy

i do seem to have a lot of problems lately with MP and video playback.
i know i have a very old video card and i decided i would get a new HTPC.

i know it's off topic, but do MP has a recommendation for an HTPC spec?

    thanks.
